As the name suggests, Mini Ediciones are highly limited parcels of wine which we regard as small gems. From lesser known varieties, these wines are wholly expressive of our Remolinos Vineyard and represent an opportunity to taste a variety rarely seen in a pure form.
Petit Verdot plays a small yet important role in our Decero Amano. In 2006, in recognition of its unique potential from the coarse, low vigour soils of our Remolinos Vineyard, we selected a few exceptional barrels of wine to make a well deserved Decero Mini Ediciones Petit Verdot.
The inaugural 2006 Decero Mini Ediciones Petit Verdot was awarded 93 Points by The Wine Advocate, a worthy achievement for a humble yet world class wine.

2010 Vintage
The spring leading up to the 2010 vintage was particularly cool which delayed veraison and resulted in lower yields of more concentrated fruit and higher acidity in the wines. Otherwise, the days were of average warmth without any peaks in temperature so even ripening occurred with good simultaneous development of fruit and sugar ripeness. This also led to firm tannins in Petit Verdot reminiscent of the 2008 vintage.

2009 Vintage
2009 is commonly regarded, in Agrelo and other nearby appellations, as the vintage of the decade. The long, warm, dry summer provided us with excellent and even conditions leading up to harvest. The night time temperatures were cool as ever in Remolinos Vineyard, bringing a good structure to balance the natural concentration of Petit Verdot and the ripe flavors of this vintage.

2008 Vintage
2008 provided the idyllic vintage conditions for our Petit Verdot in particular bringing out the core qualities of Petit Verdot. The days were consistently warm but never peaking with heat, the nights notably cooler than previous years. As a result the phenolic, sugar and flavor ripeness evolved in perfect unison to the delight of our viticulturist. This will likely be a wine which will age spectacularly due to the structural tannins and depth of the wine as well as fine acidity, whilst the wild blueberry fruit flavors and jasmine aromas typical of Petit Verdot are in abundance.

2007 Vintage
Vintage 2007 was excellent in Remolinos Vineyard. The daytime temperatures of the growing season were warmer than usual whilst the nights were colder bringing good acid / sugar balance and great color and phenol content in the grapes. Our Petit Verdot, developed the flavor spectrum which we saw from the previous vintage with more of the delicate notes of jasmine aromatics due to the particularly cool nights of the 2007 ripening season.

2006 Vintage
2006 was an excellent vintage in Agrelo. A cool winter with plenty of snow falling in the Andes was followed by a warm spring resulting in excellent and even fruit set. Summer was characterised by warm days and slightly cooler than usual nights – excellent ripening conditions. Finally, little rainfall from late February to the end of harvest led to an outstanding vintage.
